Senior Tender Planner
Location: Manchester (Hybrid) Salary: £80-95,000 + car allowance + package
A leading UK main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Tender Planner to join their pre-construction team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in securing major infrastructure projects across the UK, developing competitive and robust tender programmes for complex civil engineering schemes typically valued between £50m–£500m.
Working closely with bid, engineering, and commercial teams, you will be responsible for developing detailed Primavera P6 tender programmes, construction methodologies, and phasing strategies that support successful bids. This role offers involvement in a wide range of civil engineering projects across the infrastructure spectrum, providing a challenging and rewarding environment within a highly respected contractor.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed tender programmes and planning deliverables for major infrastructure bids
- Work with bid teams to develop construction methodologies, sequencing and logistics strategies
- Develop and maintain programmes using Primavera P6
- Identify programme risks, constraints, and opportunities to strengthen bid submissions
- Provide planning input into NEC contract requirements, ensuring programme compliance
- Support bid presentations and contribute to the overall bid strategy
Requirements
- Strong experience working as a Tender Planner or Senior Planner within a UK main contracting environment
- Extensive civil engineering/infrastructure project experience
- Advanced Primavera P6 planning skills
- Excellent understanding of NEC contracts and programme requirements
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
