Test Analyst – Housing Management System Upgrade (3 Month Contract, Outside IR35)

Recruit with Purpose are supporting a Housing Association to fill an immediate role for a skilled Test Analyst who can join their team for a 3-month contract focused on automating the testing of their Housing Management system upgrade in Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Key Responsibilities

The role entails the following core responsibilities:

  • Developing automated test scripts for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation, ensuring robust coverage of Housing Management functionalities.
  • Defining test strategies, plans, and architectures aligned with project milestones, prioritising efficiency and minimising risk.
  • Identifying, logging, tracking, and resolving defects via a transparent process, ensuring issues are documented with comprehensive details.
  • Collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and end users to:
    • Understand system requirements, workflows, and edge cases.
    • De-risk transition risks ahead of go-live.
  • Supporting data migration and integration testing, leveraging your expertise to ensure accuracy and consistency of tenant, property, and financial data transfers.
  • Contributing to sign-off activities by:
    • Validating user acceptance criteria.
    • Providing formal certification ahead of system launch.

Skills, Experience & Competencies

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience in QA automation testing specifically within Microsoft Dynamics 365 projects.
  • Essential familiarity with Housing Management Systems and their workflows (e.g., property management, tenant data handling, compliance reporting).
  • Solid proficiency in Leapwork (or equivalent automation tools/frameworks) to design and execute reusable test scripts.
  • A track record of working independently with minimal supervision, hitting alert deadlines effectively.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with:
    • Automated remedial or regression testing.
    • APIs, RESTful testing, or D365 Field Service modules.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methods in software testing.
