Senior Test Engineer – National Security Team (CACI UK)
Information Intelligence Group (IIG) is a specialist software consultancy within CACI UK, delivering bespoke solutions to address complex operational challenges. As our business expands, we are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join one of our live projects within our National Security Team.
At IIG, we embrace innovative thinking and exciting challenges. We seek intelligent problem-solvers with a fast-learning approach, who thrive in fast-paced, agile environments. Collaboration is key, so we value friendly, relationship-driven team players.
The Role: Senior Test Engineer
You will join one of our small, fast-moving agile teams, contributing to an in-flight project by ensuring continuous automated testing is integrated early and often within our CI/CD lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks covering UI and API levels.
- Work closely with DevOps teams and agile methodologies (TDD, BDD, ATDD), integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines and supplementing with manual/exploratory testing.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reusable automated test suites.
- Collaborate with QA teams to drive process improvements and optimise test frameworks.
- Conduct non-functional testing (Security, Performance, Accessibility, Operational Acceptance Testing).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
