Love solving technical problems and leading a team? This one's for you.

At Prime Light Group, we've spent 30+ years helping light up commercial and industrial buildings across the UK - from wireless lighting controls to emergency lighting solutions trusted by leading OEM manufacturers. Now we're looking for a hands-on Senior Test Technician to lead our product testing and technical verification function.

What you'll be doing

This is a role that blends hands-on technical work with real leadership. You'll:

  • Lead the testing of emergency lighting products and electronic assemblies, ensuring everything meets electrical safety, performance and regulatory standards
  • Manage and mentor a team of four Test Technicians — planning workloads, coaching, and driving testing accuracy
  • Investigate product failures, run root cause analysis, and contribute to value engineering and product improvement projects
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, work instructions and build sheets — and improve testing strategies through automation where it makes sense
  • Work closely with our Technical, Production, Quality and Operations teams, and support customer technical enquiries and warranty investigations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
