Location: Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital | Theatre Contract: Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 Hours) Salary: £40,000.00 (DOE)

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) in Anaesthetics & Recovery, you’ll deliver premium perioperative care, prioritising patient and staff safety alongside compliance with national standards. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone registed with the appropriate governing body, including HCPC registration, passionate about high standards, meticulous attention to detail, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities

Patient Safety & Oversight:
- Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and fostering a culture where colleagues feel empowered to call out or report concerns.
- Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring strict compliance with policies and procedures.

Governance & Compliance:
- Support governance activities, ensuring full compliance with:
- Nuffield Health’s Quality Governance Framework
- Regulatory standards (e.g., CQC, Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIW), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Regulation)
- Fundamentals of Care, professional standards, and evidence-based guidelines.
- Support governance activities, ensuring full compliance with:

Patient Care & Emotional Support:
- Lead care delivery for patients, their families, friends, and representatives, ensuring they receive kindness, dignity, respect, and compassion.
- Provide emotional support to help patients, visitors, and families cope with their treatment or condition.

Collaborative Teamwork:
- Foster strong working relationships with other clinicians to enhance patient care and service delivery.

Theatre Coordination & Leadership:
- Assume leadership in a theatre setting, coordinating and delivering work activities.
- Mentor and support junior practitioners to ensure smooth operations.
