Job Title: Senior / Principal Planner
Location: Camberley
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading UK planning, development economics, and design consultancy in the appointment of a Senior Planner or Principal Planner to join their growing team in Camberley.
Our client is recognised as one of the UK's most respected planning consultancies, providing expert advice to major developers, housebuilders, landowners, and public sector organisations on a wide range of high-profile and complex projects. With an established presence across England and Wales, they have built a reputation for delivering innovative planning solutions within a collaborative and supportive working environment.

The Role
As a Senior or Principal Planner, you will play a key role in the delivery of significant projects involving:
- Strategic planning
- Development management planning
- Planning project coordination
- Client relationship management
- Project management across a diverse portfolio of schemes
You will work alongside experienced planning professionals, supporting both private and public sector clients on challenging and prestigious developments.
Candidate Requirements
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- MRTPI qualification
- Experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or development environment
- A commercial mindset with the ability to apply planning knowledge within the wider property and development context
- Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills
- Confidence in client-facing situations
- Experience managing projects and coordinating planning applications
- A proactive and ambitious approach with a desire to develop professionally
