Senior Trade Control Analyst (Commodity Trading House)

📍 London, UK | Hybrid
đź’° Up to ÂŁ80,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

A leading international commodity trading company is looking to hire a Senior Trade Control Analyst to join its London-based Middle Office team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded trading business with exposure across multiple energy commodities. You'll work closely with Front Office, Risk, Finance and Operations, taking ownership of key trade control processes while helping drive automation and continuous improvement across the function.

  • Perform daily trade validation and control activities across physical and financial energy transactions
  • Validate positions, P&L, market data and pricing curves
  • Monitor trade lifecycle events, ensuring accurate booking and system representation
  • Execute market conformity, mandate and regulatory controls
  • Support month-end and quarter-end control processes
  • Act as a senior point of contact within the team, mentoring junior analysts and supporting technical development
  • Work alongside Front Office and Technology teams on automation, system enhancements and process improvements

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience within Trade Control, Middle Office, Product Control or Market Risk in a commodity trading environment
  • Strong knowledge of energy commodities, ideally Gas, Power, LNG, Emissions and/or Oil Derivatives
  • Understanding of physical and financial trading activities
  • Knowledge of EMIR, REMIT, MiFID II or Dodd-Frank is advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills, with SQL, VBA, Python, Power BI or Endur experience considered a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple business functions
