About The Role
This role provides senior leadership across the BT Business Transformation portfolio, accountable for shaping and driving the end-to-end transformation agenda from demand through to value realisation.
Operating at the most senior level within the organisation, the role acts as the critical interface between the executive leadership team, business units and transformation delivery, ensuring that strategic priorities are translated into coherent, executable plans that deliver measurable business outcomes.
The role is accountable for:
- Defining and orchestrating the end-to-end transformation delivery model, from demand, prioritisation and funding through to execution and benefits realisation
- Ensuring a clear, aligned and outcome-led transformation agenda across all business units and portfolios
- Driving pace, focus and accountability across the transformation landscape, enabling delivery at scale
- Providing insight, challenge and assurance to the BLT on progress, risks, trade-offs and performance
- Establishing and embedding the methods, frameworks and operating approach required to deliver transformation effectively at enterprise level
Operating above day-to-day delivery, the role focuses on shaping, steering and assuring transformation across all facets, ensuring that activity is aligned to strategy, executed with discipline, and delivers tangible customer, commercial and operational value.

What you’ll be doing
- Own and lead the end-to-end transformation delivery agenda across BT Business, ensuring alignment from strategic demand through to execution and benefits realisation
- Provide senior leadership and direction across all transformation workstreams, ensuring a coherent, prioritised and outcome-led plan that reflects business strategy and executive priorities
- Act as a key advisor to BT Business Leadership, providing clear, insight-led views on progress, performance, risks, trade-offs and delivery confidence
- Define and embed the transformation delivery model, including demand management, prioritisation, governance, execution approach and value tracking
- Establish and continuously evolve transformation methods, frameworks and ways of working to ensure consistency, scalability and effectiveness across the organisation
- Drive a single, integrated view of transformation performance, ensuring transparency of progress against plan, funding, outcomes and benefits
- Lead cross-portfolio alignment, proactively identifying and resolving conflicts, interdependencies and trade-offs to maintain delivery momentum
- Ensure that transformation activity is effectively sequenced and aligned to business capacity, operational constraints and strategic priorities
- Shape and lead executive-level governance and reporting, ensuring clarity, accountability and informed decision-making at the highest levels
- Act as a senior leader across the transformation community, setting standards, expectations and a culture of accountability, pace and outcome delivery
- Engage externally and internally to ensure transformation activity reflects best practice, innovation and evolving business needs

Essential Skills / Experience
- Significant experience leading large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation within complex organisations, with accountability across multiple portfolios and business units
- Demonstrated ability to operate at executive level, influencing and advising senior leadership on strategy, delivery, risk and performance
- Proven track record of defining and implementing end-to-end transformation delivery models, from demand through to benefits realisation
- Strong understanding of transformation governance, delivery frameworks and operating models, with the ability to embed these at scale
- Deep experience in managing and orchestrating complex, interdependent transformation portfolios, balancing strategic intent with operational reality
- Ability to provide clear, insight-led performance reporting and recommendations, translating complex data into actionable executive decisions
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to connect transformation delivery to financial performance, customer outcomes and strategic value
- Experience in driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, including Business Units, Digital, Finance and Executive leadership
- Demonstrated leadership of senior teams and/or communities, setting direction, standards and expectations across large programmes or portfolios
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and drive alignment at the most senior levels
- High levels of judgement, resilience and adaptability, with the ability to operate in ambiguity and drive clarity at pace
