Senior Translation Project Manager
Job Overview
Provide full support to the Team Lead/Head of Operations. Manage a series of localisation projects cost–effectively, efficiently and to the highest quality standards in our industry. This will involve the effective coordination of in-house and external suppliers as well as technological resources. Provide coaching and development for new starters and to other team members as well as refining and developing internal processes.
Project Management And Administration Including
- Preparing and approving quotes and timelines based on client requirements.
- Selecting appropriate resources from a database of translation professionals, and advising junior team members of appropriate resources, ensuring that we can supply when required the correct breadth of languages, experience, cost and expertise.
- Coordination of human and technical resources to achieve the successful completion of projects and jobs.
- Liaising with customers.
- Monitoring deadlines and budgets.
- Achieving agreed deadlines.
- Effective use of Localisation tools, CMS and DTP packages.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Participating actively in client calls and meetings, leading the discussions where appropriate.
- Working with Team Lead/Head of Operations to assist with training, including development of training materials, when required.
- Assist with CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) investigations.
- Delegating tasks and allocating work to team members as appropriate.
- Providing training/mentoring for new starters and support for junior colleagues.
- Having a strong sense of awareness of the current situation of clients and communicating all feedback to Team Lead/Head of Operations.
- Taking responsibility for seeking support as and when required and ensuring daily planner is up-to-date.

Experience And Skills
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with strong numeric and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated, with demonstrated problem solving and organisational skills.
- Candidates must be flexible and adaptable enough to be able to work in a variety of roles in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in order to prioritise workload and meet client deadlines.
- Knowledge of a foreign language an advantage.
- Ability to take responsibility and ownership and use initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm and inclination to learn and develop professionally.
- Willingness to share expertise.
- Several years’ Project Management experience.
- Significant previous experience in a client-facing Project Management role.
- Proven ability to motivate colleagues and promote positivity within the team.
