Enabling sustainable development through smarter transport planning
SLR is a global leader in sustainability solutions, working with clients to help make sustainability happen, within a collaborative, people-first culture.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our established Transport Planning team in Bristol.
You’ll work on a diverse mix of development and infrastructure projects across both private and public sectors, supporting clients in residential, commercial, retail and energy. Our portfolio ranges from strategic new settlements through to smaller-scale landowner developments.
The role will focus primarily on transport planning and appraisal work, alongside opportunities to get involved in client relationships and project management across a broad range of development projects spanning the built environment, infrastructure and energy sectors.
The Role
You’ll support the delivery of transport planning projects, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. The role includes:
Delivery of Vision-Led Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans Use of professional judgement to develop effective and practical transport solutions Client relationship management and support with fee proposals Planning and undertaking stakeholder and client engagement activities Supporting project financial performance alongside Project Directors Continual development of technical knowledge in line with policy and regulatory changes

About You
You’ll bring:
Advanced experience delivering UK transport planning projects within a consultancy or similar environment A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related field Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. MCIHT) or working towards this Strong project delivery capability alongside client management experience Knowledge of transport appraisal techniques and relevant UK policy Experience with transport modelling software such as JUNCTIONS and LINSIG Strong technical reporting and problem-solving skills
