Senior Transport Planner - Bristol
Senior Transport Planner – Full Time, Permanent
Location: Bristol Central or Bristol North
About the Role
Pegasus Group is seeking talented and experienced Senior Transport Planners to join our growing Transport Team. You will support all aspects of development planning projects from site selection and due diligence, through appraisal, planning, design, implementation, and beyond.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Access Strategies, Transport Assessments/Statements and Travel Plans
- Developing Construction Traffic Management Plans and Parking Strategies
- Supporting Sustainable Transport Planning and Active Travel initiatives
- Contributing inputs to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Conducting junction modelling using Junctions 11/21 (Arcady, Picady) and LinSig
- Negotiating S106 agreements and liaising with highway authorities
- Working on exciting, complex projects across various sectors and scales

Your Expertise & Requirements
- A degree in a relevant subject (a Master’s in Transport would be advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of policy and guidance, including:
- National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)
- Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB)
- Manual for Streets
- LTNs (Local Transport Notes), e.g., LTN 1/20
- Proficient use of TRICS database
- Experience setting up and running junction modelling software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborative work with:
- Clients
- Project teams
- Highways officers
- Community stakeholders
