Senior Transport Planner - Bristol
Senior Transport Planner – Bristol (Permanent, Full Time)
Pegasus Group is currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our growing Transport Team in Bristol Central or Bristol North.
About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to support all aspects of development planning project work throughout the entire development lifecycle, including:
- Site selection/due diligence and appraisal
- Planning, design, and implementation
- Preparation of:
- Access Strategies
- Transport Assessments/Statements
- Travel Plans
- Construction Traffic Management Plans
- Parking Strategies
- Sustainable Transport & Active Travel
- Inputs to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
- Junction modelling (Junctions 11, Picady, and LinSig)
- Liaising with local highway authorities and contributing to Section 106 negotiations
Successful candidates will: ✔ Work on diverse, complex projects with a supportive team ✔ Gain invaluable experience across multiple sectors and project types ✔ Develop expertise alongside senior Directors and Transport specialists

Your Knowledge & Expertise
- Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant transport, planning, or civil engineering discipline
- A Master’s degree in transport is highly desirable
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in NPPF, DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, and related guidance
- Strong competence with TRICS database
- Ability to set up and run junction modelling software (Junctions 11)
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication for collaboration with clients, teams, and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and stakeholder management
