Senior Transport Planner - Bristol

Bristol Transport Full Time, Permanent

Pegasus Group is currently on the lookout for talented and experienced Senior Transport Planners to join our growing Transport Team in either our Bristol Central or Bristol North offices.

What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join our team and be involved in supporting all aspects of development planning project work through the whole development cycle from site selection/due diligence and appraisal, through planning, design, and implementation.

This will include:

  • Preparing Access Strategies, Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Construction Traffic Management Plans, Parking Strategies, Sustainable transport / Active Travel, and inputs to Environmental Impact Assessment.
  • Undertaking junction modelling (Junctions 11 (Arcady, Picady) and LinSig).
  • Input to S106 negotiations.
  • Liaising with local highway authorities.

You will work on a number of exciting, complex transport planning projects, with the support of our Directors and Transport team, and gain valuable experience and exposure across a range of sectors and a variety of clients on all scales/types of projects.

  • A degree in a related subject (a master’s degree in transport would be desirable).
  • Policy and guidance such as NPPF, DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, etc.
  • Use of the TRICS database.
  • Setting up and running of junction modelling software, including Junctions 11.
  • Collaboration with clients, project teams, highways officers, and community members. Candidates should have good written and verbal communication skills.
