Senior Transport Planner - Manchester
Opportunity
Our client, a leading global multidisciplinary design consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join their growing Manchester-based team. The successful candidate will join a newly established Transport Planning team in Manchester, working closely with civil engineers, urban designers, architects, and planning professionals across the Northern region, wider UK business and internationally. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the transport planning function while working on high-profile and technically challenging projects.
About you
- Previous post-graduate experience within a transport planning consultancy
- Good understanding of UK transport planning policy, guidance, and development planning principles
- Practical experience using Linsig, Junctions 9, and ideally TRACC or similar software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting to clients
- Strong commercial awareness and project management capability
- Chartered status, or working towards becoming a Chartered Transport Planning Professional or Chartered Engineer, would be advantageous
