Senior Treasury Operations Analyst
Division: Finance Location: Liverpool Contract: Permanent Working Pattern: Hybrid
About the Role
Join our Treasury Operations team as a Senior Treasury Operations Analyst, where you’ll play a vital role in managing daily cash flows, treasury settlements, and client time deposits. You’ll ensure all activity is processed accurately, reconciled correctly, and kept within policy limits, maintaining strong controls across our treasury operations. If you enjoy fast-paced, detail-driven work and want to be part of a core Finance function, this role offers real impact and responsibility.
What You’ll Be Responsible For

Accurately execute client time deposit instructions daily:
- Liaise with investment management teams to advise on maturities
- Reconcile closing positions to client ledgers
- Produce daily statistics on volumes

Execute accounting journals for treasury on a daily basis in the SUN accounting system

Reconcile closing positions to the TMS system on a daily and monthly basis

Update banking positions across the TMS system from different bank sources to support liquidity monitoring

Report treasury book positions to operations teams to reconcile treasury records with external custody records

Update client money diversification analysis daily for entities that hold and must diversify, with weekly reporting to Treasury Operations Manager on risk exposures.

Prepare monthly management information (MIs) on:
- Time deposits
- CASS diversification
- Shareholders for different stakeholders

Maintain treasury procedures, reflecting changes as they occur and testing changes where appropriate.

Process firm payments for group entities, including but not limited to:
- Payroll
- Purchase ledger
- Taxation in line with firm payment procedures

Analyse bank changes incurred across all group entities, informing the Treasury Operations Manager and Head of Treasury, and highlighting:
- Concentrated charges
- Tariff comparisons across banking relationships

Support settlement of all treasury deals with the Treasury ALM team:
- Working with relevant operations teams
- Settling marketable instruments across CREST / Euroclear accounts

Monitor intraday credit facilities to ensure:
- Payment and settlement obligations are managed within existing caps/facilities
- Escalation only when facility increases are required to maintain service levels

Support the Treasury Operations Manager in maintaining relationships with banking providers

Monitor treasury dealing activity against dealer and counterparty limits, reporting activity and breaches to the Treasury Operations Manager.

About You
Essential Requirements:

Strong attention to accuracy, especially when processing high-volume daily cashflows, settlements, and time deposits

Confident producing management information (MI) and supporting regular reporting for stakeholders across Finance and Operations

Experienced using:
- Banking platforms
- Treasury systems
- Cash management tools

Strong cash management awareness, with understanding of:
- Liquidity
- Bank positions
- Daily cash movements
-
Effective stakeholder management, including liaison with:
- Investment management teams
- Operations teams
- Banking counterparties

Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple daily processes without sacrificing accuracy

Proactive, eager to learn, and geared towards continuous improvement in treasury procedures

Strong communicator with the ability to engage confidently with:
- Internal teams
- External banking partners
Desirable:
- Previous exposure to time deposits, maturities, or cash placement processes
- Strong proficiency in compliance, controls, and working within defined treasury policies
