About Us
At Trailmix, our players are the reason we exist, and this drives our mission: to create delightful spaces where millions of people can flourish. Our hit game Love & Pies, launched in September 2021, has resonated with millions worldwide. We build free-to-play mobile games that are snackable yet filled with heart, humour, and stories that stick.
We’re a focused and highly collaborative team with a big creative spirit. We believe the best games are made when the people behind them feel inspired, supported, and proud of the work they do.
That’s why our values sit at the heart of how we work, shaping every decision and creative choice we make.
Trailmix Values
- We win as one: Success is shared, and collaboration fuels everything we do because great games are never built solo.
- We are resilient by nature: We adapt and rise stronger each time because every challenge is a chance to evolve.
- We are powered by our players: Every choice begins with them because when our players thrive, so do we.
- We are kind and direct: We speak with honesty and care because clarity and compassion build the trust that makes us better.
- We stay curious and grow: We ask, explore, and learn because curiosity keeps our creativity alive.
- We decide boldly and own fully: We move with courage and conviction because great ideas only matter when we stand behind them.
If you’re excited by meaningful creativity, true collaboration, and making games that bring people joy, you’ll feel right at home here, too.
The Opportunity
Our art team is small, ambitious, and genuinely collaborative. We move fast, iterate often, and take shared ownership of delivering high-quality work that we’re proud of.
As a Senior UI Artist on Love & Pies, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our game shows up for players. You’ll work across live content and feature UI, partnering closely with UX, Design, Art, and Engineering from early ideas through to final in-game delivery.
In this role, you’ll own your space. You’ll create polished, on-style UI that lands with clarity and quality, often with minimal iteration. You won’t just deliver assets, you’ll help bring alignment, reduce ambiguity, and keep momentum moving across the team.
You take pride in both your craft and how you collaborate. You communicate in a kind, direct way, build strong relationships across disciplines, and help others do their best work.
We’re deeply player-centric, and that shows up in everything we do. As a Senior UI Artist, you’ll bring that mindset into your decisions, designing with empathy, curiosity, and a constant focus on creating delightful player experiences.
The Day to Day
- Design and deliver high-quality, on-brand UI that feels unmistakably Love & Pies, taking work from early concept through to polished in-game assets
- Own features end-to-end, shaping UI solutions that are cohesive, intuitive, and meet a high-quality bar with minimal iteration
- Translate UX flows and mid-fidelity mockups into final UI, elevating them through strong visual storytelling, clarity, and craft
- Create UI that balances usability, emotion, and game feel, always supporting the player experience
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Engineering, and Art to align on outcomes, challenge constructively, and keep work moving forward
- Communicate proactively, bringing clarity to ambiguity, aligning stakeholders, and maintaining momentum
- Prepare and implement UI in Unity, or work closely with engineers to ensure smooth implementation
- Contribute to a high-performing team by giving kind and direct feedback, participating in critiques, and helping raise the overall quality bar
- Build strong, trusted relationships across the team, working openly and collaboratively
- Continuously improve your craft, staying curious about players, the market, and ways to push the UI further

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
