Senior Underwriter – Financial Lines

Role Summary

  • Location: City of London – Hybrid
  • Benefits: Competitive salary + Bonus
  • Focus: Underwriting Financial Lines on a Facultative basis
  • Team: Casualty Facultative team
  • Portfolio Includes: PI, FI, D&O, MedMal, GL, Auto Liability, Motor, and other longtail classes

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrites Financial Lines on a Facultative basis
  • Oversees a broad portfolio covering:
    • PI (Professional Indemnity)
    • FI (Financial Institutions)
    • D&O (Directors and Officers)
    • MedMal
    • GL (General Liability)
    • Auto Liability
    • Motor
    • Additional longtail classes as applicable

    • Business evaluated globally (US or international exposure)

Minimum Experience Required (9+ years)

  • Underwriting experience in Financial Lines must be proven
  • Prior experience in direct underwriting (RI) is welcome, though not a strict requirement

Highly Preferred Experience

  • Strong background in PI (Professional Indemnity)

  • Involvement in purchasing or layering of Facultative risks – an advantage
