SENIOR UPHOLSTERER NORTH EAST ENGLAND £35,000 TO £45,000

What is on offer:

  • Salary of £35,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays.

About The Role

Are you an experienced upholsterer who has outgrown your current role? This is a rare opportunity for a skilled Senior Upholsterer to join a long-established upholstery manufacturing business in the North East of England, offering a salary of £35,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience one of the strongest packages available for an upholsterer in the region.

This is a full-time, permanent workshop-based position working Monday to Friday with no weekend working. You will be producing bespoke upholstered furniture to an exceptional standard, playing a senior role in the day-to-day quality and output of the workshop.

If you are a time-served upholsterer with a passion for your craft and the ability to work to a high finish across traditional and modern upholstery techniques, this role has been designed with you in mind.

What you will be doing as Senior Upholsterer:

  • Producing high-quality upholstered furniture from frame to finish.
  • Working across a variety of fabric types, cuts, and upholstery techniques including traditional and modern methods.
  • Maintaining quality control and finish standards across the workshop.
  • Supporting and sharing knowledge with colleagues where required.
  • Contributing to a well-run, professional manufacturing environment.

What you will need:

  • Solid, demonstrable experience as an upholsterer in a workshop or manufacturing setting.
  • The ability to work independently and produce a high-quality finish consistently.
  • Knowledge of upholstery materials including fabrics, foams, springs, and frames.
  • A positive, professional attitude and the ability to perform under production conditions.

This Senior Upholsterer role is commutable from Durham, Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Middlesbrough, Darlington, and the wider North East.
