What You’ll Do: As the Senior UT Product Development Manager at Eutelsat Group, you will be at the forefront of managing new and existing User Terminal (UT) development programs for LEO, GEO, and multi-orbit, multi-band user terminals. You will be responsible and accountable for dedicated UT development programs from kick-off to a successful launch of the product in the Eutelsat-OneWeb network. The position will report to the Senior Director, User Terminal Engineering and Development, responsible for the entire current and future UT portfolio development and production at Eutelsat Group, and will sit within Eutelsat Group’s End to End Eng Key Responsibilities: • Project Planning and Strategy: Work within end-to-end systems engineering, system integration and testing, digital products, satellite and network ops, UT team, innovation, legal, regulatory, finance, commercial, and marketing to create and implement a decisive project plan and strategy from NPI (new product introduction) phase to successful launch. • Product Development: Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, and launch of user terminal products. Develop detailed product requirements and technical specifications for internal and external development teams. • In-life management and support: Upon successful launch of the product, own and be the point of contact for supporting in-life management of the product in the market, as well as, carry continuous improvement with the UT partners to bring new fixes and features to the products. • Stakeholder Management: Act as the key authority and point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for the entire product development lifecycle. Cultivate deep and meaningful relationships with existing and new UT development partners, as well as wider players in the ecosystem. • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans and procedures with internal teams and UT partners for testing of the user terminals as per Eutelsat and industry standards. Witness testing at test labs and partner facilities. Ensure that high standards of reliability, quality, usability, and measurement are adhered to throughout each phase of product development. • Risk Management: Analyse program risks and trade-offs and create action plans for mitigation. Organize regular project and team meetings, focusing design teams on program milestones and unblocking technical issues by pulling together the multi-functional technical expertise to resolve issues. • Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively to executive management on the plans, status, and critical issues in narrative and verbal formats. Escalate urgent issues appropriately and drive them to closure in a timely manner. • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and measure product performance during pre-launch and in-life phases, and implement improvements based on feedback and data analysis. Establish goals and metrics to identify opportunities to deliver solutions to meet cost, performance, and schedule requirements. • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyse, and report on data, and adjust development plans as needed to facilitate a successful new product rollout. Work with UT partners to prepare all product information packages for internal and external distributions. • User Advocacy: Represent the voice of the end user of the product throughout the development process. Contribute to commercial team efforts to promote the product in the market. • Process Improvement: Develop new processes and enhance existing processes with inputs from around the business as well as the strategic approach of the group. Create and manage long-term goals and develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization. Qualifications: • Education: Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, with a focus on antenna and/or user terminal products. • Skills: Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Proficiency in management tools (JIRA, Excel, Aha, PowerPoint), Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management. • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of satellite communication technologies and user terminal design. • Languages: Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
