Senior Utility Surveyor
Purpose and Scope of the Role
Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Utility Surveyor to lead and coordinate utility surveying projects across multiple sites. You will combine technical delivery with team leadership, ensuring accurate PAS 128-compliant data, clear AutoCAD and GIS outputs, and strong client support throughout the project lifecycle. The work will range from smaller commissions to complex, high-value programmes, with responsibility for survey planning, quality assurance, site coordination and mentoring junior colleagues.
Your Impact in this Position
In the short term, you will help deliver reliable surveys and strengthen project quality. In the medium term, you will influence delivery across multiple projects and support the development of others. Longer term, this role offers structured progression, regular reviews and the opportunity to expand your leadership within a collaborative technical team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
