About The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior UX Designer I to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design strategy for a specific product or business line within LexisNexis. Your primary focus will be on creating user-centered solutions that are grounded in thorough understanding of customer needs and supported by data insights. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and researchers, to craft innovative and intuitive user experiences. Additionally, you will mentor junior designers, influence product development, and advocate for user needs throughout the design process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape impactful solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong foundation in user experience design principles, with proven experience in leading design initiatives for digital products. A portfolio demonstrating successful projects that showcase your ability to create innovative, user-centered designs is essential. You should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively across teams. Experience working with UX researchers, data analytics, and agile methodologies is highly valued. A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a proactive approach to personal development, curiosity about user insights, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall design strategy for a specific business or product line, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases and translate these insights into compelling design solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and research, to deliver innovative user experiences.
  • Advocate for the end-user by integrating customer feedback and usability insights into the design process.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative team environment.
  • Work closely with UX Researchers to gather and analyze user data, ensuring designs are informed by real-world insights.
  • Utilize data analytics and key performance metrics to inform design decisions and measure success.
  • Participate in iterative design processes, including wireframing, prototyping, and user testing, to refine solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously elevate the quality of design outputs.
