This hybrid role is for a hands-on designer who excels at crafting, optimizing, and delivering exceptional mobile-first digital experiences that drive user engagement, enhance operational efficiency, and seamlessly integrate into the broader automotive customer journey.
You will be instrumental in translating complex automotive functionalities and operational needs into intuitive and delightful mobile user interfaces. - Develop detailed user flows, interaction models, information architecture, wireframes, and interactive prototypes specifically tailored for mobile platforms.
- Create pixel-perfect, high-fidelity UI designs, incorporating the client's brand guidelines, design system, and best practices for mobile usability and aesthetics.
- Focus on micro-interactions, gestural controls, haptic feedback, notification systems, and responsive layouts for various mobile device sizes and orientations.
- Ensure all designs are technically feasible and collaborate closely with developers during implementation, providing detailed specifications and reviewing UI for fidelity.
User Research & Testing (Mobile Context):
- Conduct and participate in user research sessions (e.g., usability testing on mobile devices, remote ethnography, A/B testing within apps) to gather insights specific to mobile user behaviour and preferences.
- Analyze app analytics, user feedback, and market trends to identify pain points and opportunities for mobile app experience improvements.
- Translate research findings into actionable design recommendations and iterate on designs based on user feedback and performance data.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
