The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) to join our central London office on a permanent basis. You’ll be embedded with a leading automotive client’s App Operations team, contributing a hybrid (onsite/hybrid) hands-on approach to crafting and optimising exceptional mobile-first digital experiences that enhance engagement, operational efficiency, and consumer touchpoints in the automotive industry.
This is a full-time perm role focused on end-to-end mobile app design for iOS and Android—driving impact through seamless, user-centric solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be a visionary designer who leads the mobile UX/UI design process from concept to implementation, ensuring every interaction is intuitive, visually compelling, and optimised for the automotive ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include:
Mobile-First Design & Execution
- Lead end-to-end UX/UI design for all automotive-app functionalities, including iOS and Android.
- Develop user flows, interaction models, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes—all tailored for mobile-first experien ces.
- Design pixel-perfect UIs that align with client brand guidelines, design systems, and mobile best practices (e.g., Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, Google Material Design).
- Focus on micro-interactions, gestural controls, haptic feedback, notification systems, and responsive layouts across devices and orientations.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure technical feasibility, providing detailed design specs and endiflier UI reviews.

User Research & Mobile Testing
- Conduct mobile-centric research, including usability testing (physical and remote), A/B testing within apps, and ethnographic studies.
- Analyse app analytics, user feedback, and industry trends to identify pain points and driver behaviour changes.
- Translate research into actionable design recommendations, iterating designs based on performance and user data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Advocacy
- Collaborate with UX leads, App Operations team, product managers, and developers to align on product strategy and design execution.
- Champion mobile-first design best practices, accessibility standards, and scalable design systems within the team.
- Present design concepts and user insights to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in for mobile experience improvements.
What We Want From You
We’re looking for a passionate, hands-on Senior UX/UI Designer specialising in mobile app design (iOS/Android) with a proven ability to deliver user-centric, high-impact experiences. Key qualifications include:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proof of leadership in Senior UX/UI design for mobile, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX/UI projects (research → wireframes → final UI prototypes).
- Expertise in mobile-first design principles, including Apple and Android platform guidelines, responsive layouts, and seamless transitions.
- Deep proficiency in Figma (and other design tools) for creating interactive, high-fidelity mobile prototypes, component libraries, and design systems.
- Hands-on experience in mobile-specific user research, usability testing (on devices), user analytics, and A/B testing.
- Strong technical understanding of mobile app development, ensuring designs are feasible and performance-optimised.
- Ability to synthesise UX insights and incorporate them into iterative designs based on real-world user data.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience designing for automotive or regulated/complex industries (e.g., fintech, health, B2B SaaS).
- Exposure to WPP agencies or commerce/automotive technology.
- Strong awareness of digital accessibility principles under WCAG compliance.
