Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Surgical bias + Flexible hours!

Senior Veterinary Surgeon (Surgical Focus) – Flexible Role

Salary: Up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE)

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Vet with a strong surgical bias to join our dynamic, expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the evolution of surgery in practice, support junior colleagues, and thrive in a flexible, collaborative environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll join us at an exciting time as we enhance surgical services, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the practice’s continued growth. The role suits those passionate about specialising in, or expanding, surgical expertise while guiding the team’s clinical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality surgical and small animal care to a diverse caseload, including dentistry, small furries, and exotics.
  • Mentor junior team members, ensuring consistent clinical standards and professional growth.
  • Drive service development, with a focus on refining and expanding surgical treatments within the practice.
  • Offer flexible support (predominantly weekdays, occasional early Saturday mornings, max 1-in-4).
  • Collaborate with a veterinary team in a collaborative, inclusive practice culture.
  • Contribute to team well-being and continuous professional development (CPD).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
