Team/Role Overview:

Citi Commercial Cards is a leading provider of payment solutions to a wide range of corporations, financial institutions, and public sector organizations, offering global Issuing capabilities in over 60 countries. Our Travel & Entertainment (T&E) and Business-to-Business (B2B) product lines form the core of Citi's Commercial Card offering, supporting millions of cardholders and transactions everyday around the globe.

Ecommerce represents one of our fastest growing segments and most strategic business opportunities for Commercial Cards - supporting our clients from the B2B Travel, Digital Economy and Fintech Payment spaces, with their advanced payment needs. Ecommerce spend growth and market share penetration are key focus across our Product and Sales organizations, funnelling significant investments into our global platform and the resources supporting this vertical end-to-end.

Reporting to the Global Ecommerce Segment Head, and based in London, this Product Manager role is a high-impact position aimed at growing our Ecommerce revenue, through precise strategy and execution, active product commercialization, and implementation of effective internal & external partnerships.

This role will contribute to shaping how Citi competes in the rapidly evolving Ecommerce payments landscape, progressing our transformation toward a digital-native and API-first product offering, while expanding into emerging new flows and payment use cases. For the successful candidate, this position will offer significant career progression opportunities into the broader Citi Payments business and Leadership teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategy & Growth: Drive end-to-end the positioning and commercialization for key eCommerce capabilities; serve as strategic thought partner to senior Card leadership
  • Lead Digital Innovation: Champion Virtual Card Number (VCN) and Mobile Virtual Card (mVCA) capabilities; unlock new Card payment use cases across Healthcare, Insurance, B2B Travel, Gig economy, and Online marketplaces
  • Product Vision: Influence roadmap and future capability developments through collection of client feedback, market insights, competitive intelligence, and emerging technology trends
  • Market Expansion: Develop differentiating solutions for marketplace flows, combined acquiring/issuing models, cross-border capabilities; drive geographic expansion into high-growth markets
  • Value Propositions: Develop executive narratives, client presentations, commercialization strategies, and sales enablement materials that articulate differentiated value
  • Drive Strategic Partnerships: Lead engagements with Fintechs, Flow Aggregators, and Specialized Networks to open new revenue opportunities for Citi
  • Champion Modernisation: support the ongoing platform transformation to enhance system scalability, digital client experience, and support of new use cases
  • Cross-Business Collaboration: Partner with other Citi business lines to drive innovative and highly differentiated solutions that are mutually beneficial
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Citi at industry forums and client workshops as subject matter expert in Ecommerce and B2B payments
  • Scalable Models: Partner with Sales, Operations, Servicing and Onboarding to enhance Ecommerce processes, drive efficiencies, and better overall client experience
  • Global Collaboration: Partner closely with Regional and Local teams to capture market specificities and ensure local Product fitness

What we’ll need from you:

  • Professional Experience: Significant experience in Commercial Cards, B2B Payments, Digital Commerce, Fintechs, or Payments Technology, with proven success in product management, commercialisation, & strategic growth
  • Subject Matter: Strong understanding of Ecommerce ecosystems, Virtual Card and Mobile Payments use cases, with track record of designing and commercializing complex payment solutions
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to develop compelling strategies and drive execution; demonstrated success with strategic partnerships, technology ventures, or platform collaborations
  • Client-Centric Approach: Credible engaging with C-suite executives, procurement leaders, and technology stakeholders; strong consultative skills and trusted advisor relationships
  • Technical Acumen: Strong technology background with understanding of API architectures, platform modernization, and Agile/SAFe methodologies; experience partnering with Product and Technology teams
  • Communication: Advanced storytelling and presentation skills; proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and execute in highly matrixed, global organizations
  • Attitude & Mindset: Self-starter with ownership mentality, bias for action, and comfort with autonomy in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Global Collaboration: Cultural intelligence working across geographies and time zones; strong partnership orientation with reputation for integrity and delivering through others
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; master’s or advanced degree preferred; Product & Project Management certifications valued (PMP, Prince2, SAFe)
