Senior Vice President, Credit Practices - Asset Finance
About The Role
Morningstar DBRS’s Fundamental Ratings Team is seeking a highly motivated individual with a deep and broad interest in Asset Finance to join its team as a Senior Vice President within the Credit Practices Group.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of experience, preferably with significant experience at a rating agency covering sectors within Asset Finance.
In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Credit Practices Team, as well as the various rating groups. Responsibilities will include promoting consistent application of methodologies and criteria, participating and chairing rating committees, and contributing to Morningstar DBRS thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for analytical teams covering Asset Finance (including Project Finance, PPP and Infrastructure), as well as other sectors.
- Provide guidance on complex credit issues, including appropriate application of a Methodology(ies), credit implications of global and/or regional macroeconomic conditions, and sector trends.
- Participate in, and chair Rating Committees.
- Identify cross-sector themes, macroeconomic developments, and systemic risks affecting credit quality.
- Contribute to Morningstar DBRS thought leadership.
- Support the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Morningstar DBRS methodologies across multiple asset classes.

Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of fundamental credit experience, with substantial exposure at a rating agency, lending institution, private credit platform, or a comparable organization.
- Demonstrated depth of experience in Asset Finance credit sectors (e.g., Project Finance, PPP and Infrastructure).
- Strong foundation in financial analysis, including both theoretical frameworks and practical application.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring analytical teams in a performance-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex analyses for senior audiences.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
- Proactive, collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, data science, economics, or a related discipline required; advanced degrees (e.g., Masters, MBA, CFA) preferred.

Base Salary & Bonus
- Base Salary Compensation Range: GBP 134,700.00 - 195,566.66
- Bonus Target: 30% Annual
The specific compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
