Are you looking for a career move that will put you at the heart of a global financial institution?

Citi is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Vice President (SVP) to join our Payments Modernisation Product team. This is an opportunity to bring your skills in business analysis, payments, and design to a world-leading team transforming a critical global service.

By joining Citi, you will become part of a global organisation whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

Team/Role Overview:

The Payments Modernisation Product Team is central to Citi's multi-year Payments Modernisation program, focusing on enhancing our capabilities in Domestic and Cross Border Payments, including Smart Payment Routing, FX, and Validation Services.

This SVP role will work across these critical areas, alongside Local Country, Clearing & Digital Asset Product teams, to ensure the highest standards of business design and governance are applied to our strategic initiatives. You will take full ownership of key functional domains within the payment processing workflow, working in a close, collaborative partnership with colleagues in Technology, Operations, Product, Sales, and other critical functions.

The role requires establishing and maintaining high-quality relationships with geographically distributed teams to deliver world-class capabilities that enhance Citi's competitive advantage.

What you'll do:

As a global product manager, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our payments platforms.

  • Lead the strategic oversight for your owned functional domains, integrating business objectives with next-generation technical capabilities for Smart Payment Routing, FX, Validation Services, and overall payments processing.
  • Ensure functional requirements are high quality, complete, and created with a global perspective, driving consistency across different payment value streams, particularly for Domestic and Cross Border Payments.
  • Work closely with global and regional leads to facilitate strategic planning sessions, defining the scope, objectives, and key results for platform enhancements in areas like Smart Payment Routing and FX services.
  • Partner with engineering and project teams throughout the delivery lifecycle—from requirements definition to implementation and validation—to ensure adherence to delivery standards for modernized payment solutions.
  • Conduct continuous gap analysis between current and future state platform offerings, identifying areas for improvement, innovation, and strategic adjustments in Smart Payment Routing, FX, and Validation Services.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve cross-project dependencies and roadblocks through effective coordination and communication.
  • Effectively influence and align stakeholders across different functions and departments to achieve objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
