About ImageNova
ImageNova is a film production company based in the Cultural Quarter of Leicester, producing video content worldwide. Our productions cover online/social content, commercials, television, and documentaries. Our clients include global brands such as Channel 4, BBC, Sony, Panavision, and Netflix. Our services include concept development, pre-production, filming, and editing.
The Role
We are looking for a highly creative and experienced Senior Video Editor to lead and elevate ImageNova's post-production output. While editing excellence is at the core of this role, we are particularly interested in candidates who can also bring strong motion graphics, animation, and design skills to help expand our creative offering.
This role combines exceptional editing ability with confident leadership, strong creative judgment, and client-facing experience. You will work closely with our internal production team and clients to shape projects throughout the post-production process - from first assembly through to final delivery. This will involve leading the post-production workflow, allocating resources, and managing team capacity across multiple projects to ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
This is a key senior role within the company, with opportunities for progression and a clear route towards a future ‘Head of Post-Production’ position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be reporting/working directly with the Head of Video, Senior Producer, and Managing Directors to:
- Edit a wide range of video content to an exceptional standard using Adobe Premiere and the wider Adobe Creative Suite, including colour grading and sound mixing. Strong candidates will also be able to apply motion graphics, animation, and graphic design skills where required.
- Lead our post-production delivery, acting as a key liaison for clients to manage feedback rounds, amends, approvals, and delivery schedules, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
- Lead the in-house editing team, maintaining consistency and efficiency across projects.
- Review production and post-production output to ensure all work meets the highest creative and technical standards.
- Work closely with the Head of Video to review internal output and raise the quality and creative standards of our work.
- Provide constructive feedback and creative oversight to editors and production during internal reviews.
- Contribute creatively during pre-production and help to shape narratives before crafting the resulting footage into engaging and impactful films.
- Provide on-set support to our internal production crew if required, assisting across specific productions to ensure smooth and successful delivery.
- Work alongside the Senior Producer to manage editing schedules, workloads, project timelines, and final deliveries.
- Contribute creatively to upcoming productions, treatments, pitches, and new business opportunities.
- Help strengthen and develop relationships with existing clients while identifying new creative opportunities and video solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
