About the Role
The VA Hub is looking for an experienced and highly capable Virtual Executive Assistant to support the Founder and CEO of a London-based investment firm.
Previous experience working within the finance sector is essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who have supported senior executives within investment management, hedge funds, private equity, asset management, or a similarly fast-paced financial-services environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior EA who is confident supporting at founder or C-suite level, works brilliantly within structured digital systems, and understands the discretion, responsiveness, and judgement required in a fast-paced, confidential environment.
The hours will vary depending on the client’s requirements, typically between 5 and 20 hours per week, so the successful candidate must have genuine flexibility and enough capacity to accommodate changing priorities.

- Drafting emails and correspondence
- Coordinating domestic and international travel
- Creating, managing, and following up tasks
- Monitoring deadlines, actions, and outstanding requests

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
