Job Introduction

As Senior Visual Merchandiser you will own the day-to-day running of the Visual Merchandising team. You will be responsible for delivering VM creative that will inspire and entice customers, and delivers excellent VM merchandising standards.
The Senior Visual Merchandiser is a vital part of the VM team and an important support to the VM Manager.
As Senior Visual Merchandiser You Will
- Oversee the VM presentation of your area (supported by your line manager).
- Regularly perform comparative ‘shops’ of new and inspirational places to maintain an understanding and awareness of competition, direction and key brands.
- Work on product presentation, setting and agreeing standards and benchmarking against competitors.
- Be proactively involved in implementing themed installations within your departments, working within a close knit cross-functional team that is able to ‘Own It & Deliver’.
- Work closely with the Retail Operations team to train them on merchandising standards and maintenance.
- Work closely with key contacts in Buying & Merchandising and Retail Operations to agree brand adjacencies and product layouts to maximise sales potential.
- Locate and/or source fixtures for brands when departments move and you’ll be liaising with the Buying & Merchandising team to organise, monitor and manage brand collaborations.
- Communicate schemes and ideas to buyers and Retail Operations with a Powerpoint pack, a minimum of 2 weeks before installation, so we can ‘Work As One’ with a clear vision.
- Train entry level team members on VM standards.

About You
- Experienced. With proven established experience in a similar VM role. A Creative/Art background would be an advantage with proven ability in both merchandising and mannequin styling;
- Calm within busy environment. You are able to prioritise, having good time management and are adaptive, with the ability to multi-task effectively.
- A great communicator, both verbal and written. You excel in the relationships you build with your team and stakeholders.
- Adaptive, with the ability to multi-task effectively and switch planning due to the reactive nature of the business.
- Highly organised with excellent time management and meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently at pace to a very high standard, managing workload to strict deadlines.
- Aware of trends and brand knowledge. You will be up to date with trends and constantly looking for opportunities for this to inspire your work.
