At Banco Sabadell, WeWantYouToBeYou, because we know that each person’s unique talent is what makes us BeSabadell.

We are currently looking for a Senior VP Structured Finance in London, responsible for supporting the execution of structured finance transactions with a generalist approach (covering all product verticals) for the UK market.

What you will do in your day to day…

The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Head of Structured Finance in the UK, participating in the origination, structuring, execution and monitoring of transactions, in line with management guidelines and aligned with the commercial plan.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Define and develop, together with your Director, the go-to-market strategy for the UK structured finance business, including Corporate & Acquisitions, Project & Asset Finance, and Commercial Real Estate, and support its implementation with the team.
  • Collaborate with global product heads (Project Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate and Syndicate Desk) to tailor product strategies to the specific needs of the UK market.
  • Prepare marketing materials, financing proposals (RfPs, term sheets) and support client-facing marketing activities, coordinating closely with Corporate Management and relationship teams to identify business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with peers across financial institutions in the UK to maintain strong market connectivity and access to deal flow.
  • Analyse project business plans and build financial models, including detailed projections and, where required, company valuations.
  • Review and assess due diligence reports (commercial, technical, legal, environmental, etc.).
  • Lead internal credit approval processes, including preparation and presentation to credit committees, in coordination with risk teams.
  • Oversee transaction execution and documentation (including syndicated deals), coordinating with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Syndication, Corporate Banking, Derivatives, Profitability, and Rating teams, and ensure proper handover to portfolio teams.
  • Support Syndicate & Sales teams in distribution strategies and in identifying new business opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics and key developments to adapt the business strategy and maintain competitiveness.
  • Promote the bank’s expertise through participation in internal and external forums, conferences, and industry publications.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
