We are currently looking for a Senior VP Structured Finance in London, responsible for supporting the execution of structured finance transactions with a generalist approach (covering all product verticals) for the UK market.
What you will do in your day to day…
The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Head of Structured Finance in the UK, participating in the origination, structuring, execution and monitoring of transactions, in line with management guidelines and aligned with the commercial plan.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Define and develop, together with your Director, the go-to-market strategy for the UK structured finance business, including Corporate & Acquisitions, Project & Asset Finance, and Commercial Real Estate, and support its implementation with the team.
- Collaborate with global product heads (Project Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate and Syndicate Desk) to tailor product strategies to the specific needs of the UK market.
- Prepare marketing materials, financing proposals (RfPs, term sheets) and support client-facing marketing activities, coordinating closely with Corporate Management and relationship teams to identify business opportunities.
- Coordinate with peers across financial institutions in the UK to maintain strong market connectivity and access to deal flow.
- Analyse project business plans and build financial models, including detailed projections and, where required, company valuations.
- Review and assess due diligence reports (commercial, technical, legal, environmental, etc.).
- Lead internal credit approval processes, including preparation and presentation to credit committees, in coordination with risk teams.
- Oversee transaction execution and documentation (including syndicated deals), coordinating with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Syndication, Corporate Banking, Derivatives, Profitability, and Rating teams, and ensure proper handover to portfolio teams.
- Support Syndicate & Sales teams in distribution strategies and in identifying new business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics and key developments to adapt the business strategy and maintain competitiveness.
- Promote the bank’s expertise through participation in internal and external forums, conferences, and industry publications.

What we value…
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics or related fields.
- Master’s in Corporate Finance or CFA qualification is a plus.
- Native or fluent English.
- Native or fluent Spanish.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools and familiarity with AI tools.
- Previous experience as a VP Structured Finance or Corporate Banker, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in structuring and coordinating complex syndicated and/or bilateral loans.
- Proven experience in financial modelling and analysis.
- Solid knowledge of Investment Banking, including valuation, financial statement analysis and structured products.
- Strong analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative) in risk assessment.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines in complex negotiations.
- Valuable sector experience in Real Estate (Commercial & Hospitality), Renewable Energy, and Infrastructure (traditional and digital, asset finance or green financing), as well as corporate and acquisition finance.
- Resilient profile, with high tolerance for pressure and strong recovery capacity, maintaining motivation and focus on objectives.
