You will:

• Lead on river and wetland projects on Trust reserves and third-party land, steering each project through design, permissions and delivery.
• Maintain an active and collaborative working environment as co-chair the Marsh Dykes and Thamesmead Catchment Partnership, working closely with our co-hosts to push forward the new Catchment Plan.
• Represent the Trust on catchment partnerships where the Trust has active projects, and at River Partnerships in London (RiPL) meetings.
• Contribute your expertise to the development and delivery of river and wetland restoration within the Trust’s large scale rewilding programmes.
• Share your knowledge and skills in freshwater ecology and restoration across the team, including support for the Keeping it Wild traineeship.

Our ideal Senior Waterways and Wetlands Officer

We’re looking for someone with good knowledge and experience of rivers and wetland habitat restoration, who can use strong communication and organisational skills to develop and deliver projects.
