Senior Web/Mobile Application Developer [React Native]
We are seeking a Senior Web/Mobile Application Developer to build scalable, high-performance web and mobile applications using React and React Native.
You will work with product, design, and backend teams while contributing to application architecture, system design, and technical standards. This is a London-based position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade web and mobile applications using React, React Native, and TypeScript.
- Translate product requirements and UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible, and reusable components.
- Design scalable application architectures, including component boundaries, state management, data flows, caching, and API integration.
- Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and compatibility across browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Collaborate with backend engineers and designers to improve APIs, usability, and overall product quality.
- Implement automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD practices, documentation, and production monitoring.
- Communicate technical progress, architectural decisions, risks, and recommendations to the CTO.

Required Qualifications
- Senior-level experience delivering production web and mobile applications with React and React Native.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, React Native, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong system design skills, including application architecture, state management, API contracts, offline behaviour, and performance trade-offs.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, authentication, third-party integrations, and real-time communication.
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles, reusable component design, and modern frontend build tools.
- Experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, and performance testing.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with native iOS development using Swift or Android development using Kotlin.
- Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the App Store and Google Play Store.
- Familiarity with React Native native modules, platform-specific code, and performance profiling.
- Experience with cloud platforms, observability tools, feature flags, and analytics.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools while validating generated code for quality, security, and maintainability.
