Job Description:
As a Dyno Support Fabricator you will work within the mechanical dyno support team within the Test House. You will provide fabricating and machining to support test bed installation, breakdowns and upgrades.
The Role:
- Fabrication and machining of components to aid engine / rig testing (frames, custom fittings, pipe work, instrumentation bosses, intake adaptors).
- Fabrication and machining of components to support facility upgrades.
- Fabrication / machining support for engine build.
- Design input into parts to be fabricated.
- Interpreting engineering drawings.
- Involvement in new engine installation planning.
- Material management and ordering.
- Fabrication workshop management.
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice.

Candidate Profile:

- Experienced welder, MIG / TIG (City of Guilds Level 3 preferable)
- Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Inconel, Titanium.
- Competent with sheet work (folding, pressing).
- Competent with plasma cutting.
- Competent with abrasive wheels.
- Competent with lathe.
- Competent with milling.
- Organized and tidy.
