Senior Workday Analyst
Role Summary/Purpose of Job
The Senior Workday Analyst, within the Global HR Technology and Services team, is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining the core Workday HR system. They will deliver excellent customer service to colleagues worldwide while ensuring alignment with HR processes and system configuration needs.
This role requires:
- Strong knowledge of HR processes
- Ability to resolve issues efficiently
- Collaborative teamworking skills
- Capacity to analyse business needs and configure new Workday functionality across multiple HR systems
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Subject Matter Expertise & Improvements
- Serve as the primary Workday expert for Absence and Time Tracking modules, working closely with stakeholders to drive continuous process improvement in line with business strategy and Workday best practices.
Project Leadership & Implementation
- Lead the implementation of configuration changes, managing full project lifecycles including:
- Requirement capture & solution design
- Testing & validation
- Employee & stakeholder training
- Comprehensive documentation
- Align with Workday release cycles, helping establish requirement capture, design scrutiny and facilitating communications & training around changes (both routine & transformative).
Strategic Workflow & Governance
- Collaborate strategously in Workday roadmap planning, recommending feature adoption priorities with business stakeholders.
- Maintain system security, integrity & standards, ensuring compliance with governance policies.
- Participate as a key governance & risk-management contributor for Workday-related operations.

Project Management & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end Workday module enhancement projects from design to post-deployment support, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high standards.
- Work with internal teams and external Workday partners to support seamless integration and functionality.
Change Management & Adoption Support
- Drive change management initiatives and support user adoption through training, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Compliance & Documentation
- Uphold compliance with org policies, regulatory requirements, and data protection regulations.
- Ensure audit-ready documentation is maintained for all processes and configurations.
Mentorship & Escalation Support
- Mentor junior analysts & administrators within Workday operations.
- Acts as the internal escalation point for complex technical and workplace issues.
Key Requirements
Essential
- Advanced expertise in Workday Absence & Time Tracking Modules
- In-depth understanding of Workday HR workflows & business processes
- Proven ability to capture & document functional requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Direct experience supporting Workday release cycles & testing professionals
- Exceptional analytical & problem-solving capabilities

Desirable (Bonus Value)
- Exposure to multiple Workday modules (Finance, Payroll, Compensation, etc.)
- Gain of Workday Professional certification (or higher)
- Cross-border experience in global organisational contexts
- Sector-specific expertise, particularly in the legal services industry
- Experience with third-party Workday implementation partners
