Senior Workday Analyst
Senior Workday Analyst – Global HRIS Specialist
Are you a Workday wizard who thrives on turning complex business needs into elegant system solutions? Navan is seeking a proactive Senior Workday Analyst to join our People Operations Team. You won’t just be maintaining a system; you’ll be a strategic architect, scaling our global infrastructure to support rapid expansion and a world-class employee experience.
What You’ll Do
Architect & Configure
- Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of Workday HCM modules, with a primary focus on Absence Management and Global Time Tracking.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and advocate for optimal system solutions.
Data Migration & EIB Specialization
- Act as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs).
- Manage high-volume data uploads, mass updates, and complex data transformations with precision.
- Ensure accurate migration, validation, and transformation of HR data while handling large datasets.
Full-Suite Optimization
- Support and enhance the broader Workday ecosystem, including:
- Talent Management
- Benefits Administration
- Advanced Compensation
- Core HCM Functions
Strategic Roadmapping
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable People Systems solutions.
- Prioritize and drive the People Systems roadmap for global alignment and impact.

Advanced Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain complex Calculated Fields, Matrix Reports, and Dashboards to provide real-time, actionable insights.
- Develop reports that align with leadership needs while ensuring scalability and performance.
Troubleshooting & Resolution
- Serve as the SME for complex Workday system issues, including integrations and data flows.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across all Workday modules to ensure seamless performance for employees and managers.
Enablement & Knowledgebase
- Develop "best-in-class" documentation for global best practices.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to onboard teams and drive adoption.
What We’re Looking For
Workday Expertise
- 5+ years of HRIS experience, with at least 3+ years of deep, hands-on Workday HCM configuration.
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining Workday modules.
"Absence" Specialist
- Proven track record in configuring Absence Management strategies in a global environment.
- Strong understanding of statutory absence regulations, entitlement rules, and statutory requirements (especially in EMEA).
- Ability to handle nuanced global leave policies without compromising compliance.

EIB Proficiency
- Advanced technical skills in building and executing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for:
- Mass data loads
- System-to-system integrations
- Complex scheduled workflows (test and production environments).
Global Fluency
- High-level knowledge of *EMEA labor laws, payment processes, and payroll system touchpoints.
- Familiarity with statutory absence types (e.g., sick leave, maternity leave, sabbaticals) and integration points across Workday and third-party systems.
Technical Depth
- Mastery of:
- Reporting Tools (both Workday-based and third-party).
- Workday Security & Permissions Setup.
- Calculated Field Logic for complex business rules.
Agility & Problem-Solving
- Exceptional problem-solving skills in diagnosing and resolving Workday issues.
- Experience thriving in a high-growth, fast-paced tech environment with multitasking and prioritization demands.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Ability to translate technical "Workday-speak" into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders across different time zones and cultures.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with HR Business Partners, functional leads, and global teams.
