Senior Workplace Officer

We have the opportunity to join our newly formed Workplace Experience Centre of Excellence as a Senior Workplace Officer.

This role will play a central part in creating a workplace that supports collaboration, connection, and productivity, helping to ensure our offices are environments where colleagues can perform at their best and thrive.

As part of the Workplace Experience team, this role will contribute to ensuring optimum building performance by effectively integrating people, place, and process. The role holder will support the day-to-day experience of colleagues while helping to maintain the smooth and efficient operation of the wider business, ensuring that workplace standards remain high and consistent.

They will proactively monitor and maintain building facilities and equipment across the Group, supporting the safety of colleagues and minimizing business disruption. The person in post will identify, manage, and escalate facilities-related issues and incidents as required, ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-managed workplace environment that aligns with organizational expectations.

As an operational role, this role is onsite in Binley, Coventry, working between the hours of 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Requirements

For this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Extensive customer service experience.
  • Previous experience of supporting or supervising others.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to make decisions, problem solve, and initiate action.
  • Great communications skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Experience of dealing with more challenging or complex situations.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours support as required.

Experience in these areas would be helpful:

  • Facilities, hospitality, retail, or fast-moving and/or financial services environment.
  • Building facilities and an understanding of critical support systems.
  • Driver and hold a full driving license or the ability to get to other Group locations.
  • Currently holding or working towards Institute of Workplace Facilities Management accreditation or willing to do so.
  • Relevant First Aid in the workplace certification or be prepared to undertake training.
  • Knowledge of general health and safety practice, risk assessment, and fire prevention techniques.
