Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Senior zOS Systems Programmer to join our ever evolving Mainframe Software Team and help shape the future of global commerce.

What You'll Own

  • Design, develop, maintain and support critical enterprise systems and platform services that underpin Global Payments' business operations.
  • Lead system enhancements, software upgrades, performance tuning and platform optimisation activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, architecture and security teams to deliver resilient, scalable and secure solutions.
  • Act as a technical mentor and subject matter expert, driving engineering standards, automation and operational excellence.

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive experience in systems programming within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, middleware, automation tooling and performance tuning.
  • Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems in mission-critical systems.
  • Experience supporting highly available production platforms with a focus on reliability and resilience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.

It's a bonus if you have

  • Experience within payments, fintech or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
  • Relevant industry certifications and experience with enterprise-scale modernisation initiatives.
