Senior Care Assistant - The Lodge Care Home

Hourly Rate: £14.95- £15.87 per hour
Contract: Part-time, Permanent contract
Shifts: 25 hours per week over 2 days, over a 7-day rota.
Week 1: Saturday & Sunday - 07.45-20.00 as Senior Care.
Week 2: Shifts would be flexible to the needs of the home between Monday-Friday - 07.45-20.00 as Care Assistant. This is subject to change depending on the requirements of the home.

About The Role
We are seeking a compassionate Senior/Care Assistant to support the nursing and care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The role involves meeting residents’ individual needs with dignity and respect, promoting independence, and acting as a role model by supervising and supporting the development of junior team members.
What You'll Do
- Deliver and maintain high standards of personal care, ensuring effective teamwork and quality service delivery.
- Carry out clinical procedures within scope, following guidance from the Registered Nurse or Head of Department.
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Support residents’ physical, mental, and social engagement through meaningful activities and interaction.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, ensuring proper use and storage of equipment and supplies.
- Contribute to accurate record-keeping, uphold confidentiality, and comply with policies, training, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications & Skills
- Secondary school education with good numeracy and literacy.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Level 2 and 3 in Care.
- Minimum 3 years experience caring for older people.
- Understanding of professional Codes of Practice in social care.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and communication.
