Senior Ecologist
GBP40,000 - GBP55,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Ecologist to join a respected, award-winning environmental consultancy through a specialist recruitment partner. With over 35 years of experience, the business delivers landscape architecture, ecology, arboriculture, and biodiversity services on a wide range of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The successful Senior Ecologist will be based in Cambridge, working within a collaborative team that values innovation, sustainability, and professional development.
About the Role
As a Senior Ecologist, you will:
- Lead ecological projects
- Undertake surveys
- Produce technical reports
- Manage client relationships
- Mentor junior team members
- Contribute to delivering high-quality environmental solutions across a diverse project portfolio

Requirements
- Experience working as a Senior Ecologist or in a similar ecological consultancy role
- Strong knowledge of UK protected species, habitats, and planning legislation
- Excellent report writing and project management skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK
- Living in or within a commutable distance of the Cambridge office
- Membership of CIEEM or working towards chartership is advantageous
