Senior Medical Writer / Principal Medical Writer

About the Role

Here at Cognite, we’re looking for a Senior Medical Writer or Principal Medical Writer to join our dynamic team and help us lead science for science’s sake.

Responsibilities

  • Science Advocacy: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of your assigned accounts, staying updated on emerging evidence and trends to shape medical communications materials effectively.
  • Content Creation: Develop a full range of written deliverables for projects, accounts, or workstreams.
  • Strategic Contribution: Understand, apply, and actively contribute to product strategy across all work.
  • Expert Leadership: Take the lead in scientific content discussions with clients and external experts, earning their trust as a trusted scientific partner whose insights drive value.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Client Services, Creative, Editorial, and Strategy, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Business Development: Help contribute to new business opportunities for Cognite.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about science and medical communications and has proven experience in this field. Ideal candidates will:

  • Hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant science discipline (essential).
  • Have a postgraduate qualification or PhD (desirable but welcomed).
  • Bring proven experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or similar environment.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, both independently and as part of a team.
