Senior/Principal Medical Writer

Our Copy team enjoys independence and ownership across a wide variety of projects. Supported by our expert Editorial and PromoMats teams, our writers are able to truly focus on turning complex science into compelling stories and brand messages.

We are looking for a Senior Medical Writer or Principal Medical Writer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for:

Developing an in-depth scientific knowledge of allocated accounts and using this to shape the communications for our clients’ brands Taking the lead on scientific discussions with medics and external experts, proactively making suggestions that are valued by the client Developing content for a full range of projects and taking wider responsibility for work on allocated accounts by overseeing, briefing and reviewing the work of other writers Contributing to the scientific strategy and ensuring messaging and content are aligned with the overall brand strategy Collaborating with internal colleagues, including account managers, creatives, editors and medical strategists, to ensure the seamless delivery of projects Sharing knowledge and expertise, as well as providing expert advice and guidance on brands and therapy areas to internal stakeholders Staying updated on industry trends, guidelines and best practices to inform and enhance the quality of our medical writing Contributing to business growth by proactively identifying opportunities, attending pitches and contributing to written proposals

With a deep interest in science and medical communications, we believe someone with the following experience could be a good match for this role:

An undergraduate degree in a relevant science (essential) or a postgraduate qualification or PhD (desirable) Proven experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or similar environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
