Senior/Principal Recruitment Consultant - Technology

Location – City of London, HQ

Start Date – Summer 2026

You've done the hard part. You got through your first role in recruitment, learned the ropes, took the knocks and started landing your own deals. Now it feels like you've hit a ceiling - development's stalled, progression's slow and the desk that once felt exciting just feels capped.

Here at Empiric, we're a multi award-winning specialist Technology recruitment consultancy, with a global footprint across Europe and the US. Over 20 years, we've built a reputation as a genuine market leader - named a Sunday Times Top 100 Company and ranked the #1 Best Mid-Sized Company to Work For.

We're now looking to hire Senior and Principal level consultants who are ready to kick on - people who want to build something longer-term and take their career to new heights.

Why Make the Move as a Senior/Principal Recruitment Consultant - Technology:

  • Industry-leading earning potential: Strong base (DOE) + uncapped commission - built for consultants who already know what billing feels like and want more of it
  • A platform, not just a desk: Best-in-industry tech stack, 40+ countries of reach, and warm relationships with leading global brands from day one
  • Faster progression: Never more than 6 months away from your next promotion
  • Specialist market knowledge: Work in niche tech markets where the team genuinely understands the technology, not just the job titles
  • Culture that matches the hustle: Office bar, DJ booth, golf & F1 simulator, plus company trips (skiing, Mexico), Michelin-star dining and major sporting events
  • Flexible working: Hybrid setup, early finishes, and real wellbeing support - sustainable performance, not burnout
  • L&D that builds on what you know: Our in-house L&D team won't start you from scratch - they'll sharpen what you've already learned and fill the gaps

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
