Senior/Principal Software Engineer / Cambridge / High-Performance Engineering Team

A high-calibre engineering team is looking for a Senior/Principal Software Engineer to help build the next generation of a large-scale cloud platform powering mission-critical applications.

This is an opportunity to join an engineering-first environment where technical excellence is genuinely valued. You'll work alongside exceptional engineers, solve complex distributed systems challenges, and play a leading role in shaping architecture, influencing technical direction, and delivering software at scale.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and building high-performance services using C#/.NET and cloud-native technologies
  • Leading architectural decisions across APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Solving complex scalability, performance, and reliability challenges across a large-scale platform
  • Working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver business-critical capabilities
  • Championing engineering best practices across software design, testing, security, and CI/CD
  • Mentoring talented engineers and helping raise the technical bar across the wider team
