Senior / Principal Transport Planner
Location: London
I'm currently representing a leading transport consultancy in their search for a **Senior / Principal Transport Planner` to join their London headquarters.
This is an opportunity to become part of an established and highly respected team that delivers transport planning solutions for some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile development and infrastructure projects.
The business has built an excellent reputation across the planning and development sector, working with major developers, architects, local authorities, and infrastructure providers on projects that shape towns, cities, and transport networks across the UK and internationally.
Role Overview
As a Senior / Principal Transport Planner, you'll play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects while managing clients, supporting junior team members, and contributing to the ongoing success of the London office.
You’ll be given the autonomy to:
- Lead projects
- Develop client relationships
- Influence project outcomes while benefiting from the support of a well-established and highly experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the delivery of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
- Managing projects across a range of development and infrastructure sectors
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Providing strategic transport planning advice
- Supporting business development and work-winning activities
- Mentoring and developing junior consultants
- Contributing to the growth and success of the wider transport planning team

Requirements
Suitable candidates are likely to possess:
- Experience within transport planning consultancy
- Strong technical knowledge of transport planning and the UK planning process
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Experience managing projects and client relationships
- The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
