We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Wind Energy Yield Analyst to lead energy assessment activities across our onshore and/or offshore wind portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering bank‑grade energy yield estimates, driving methodological improvement, and providing strategic technical input throughout the project lifecycle—from early-stage prospecting through financial close and operational optimisation. You will act as a subject‑matter expert, collaborating closely with development, engineering, commercial, and finance teams to ensure robust and defensible yield assumptions that underpin our investment and development decisions. Key Responsibilities Energy Yield & Resource Assessment Lead the development of long-term energy yield assessments (P50/P90/P99) for onshore and offshore wind projects. Perform wind resource modelling using industry-standard software (e.g., WAsP, WindFarmer, OpenWind, WindPRO). Oversee met mast, LiDAR, SoDAR, and SCADA data analysis, ensuring rigorous quality control and uncertainty quantification. Conduct terrain, atmospheric, wake, and turbine performance assessments to refine energy yield calculations. Data Management & Analysis Manage large datasets from measurement campaigns and operational assets. Implement best‑practice statistical analysis, MCP techniques, uncertainty analysis, and climate adjustment methodologies. Support the design and optimisation of measurement campaigns. Project Development Support Provide technical input into site selection, turbine micro‑siting, layout optimisation, and design constraints. Produce high‑quality reporting for due diligence, investment committees, lenders, and external partners. Evaluate turbine technologies, power curves, and OEM data to ensure accurate modelling assumptions. Technical Leadership & Collaboration Mentor junior analysts and contribute to capability building within the team. Ensure methodological consistency and lead the continuous improvement of internal tools, workflows, and modelling practices. Represent the company in technical discussions with developers, OEMs, consultants, financiers, and external stakeholders. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with development, engineering, environmental, and commercial teams to align yield assumptions with broader project strategy. Provide ongoing assessment of risks and opportunities that influence project economics. This role will present you with a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical and project management skills through your project work, with great prospects for career progression as the team continues to grow. Strong statistical analysis skills and deep familiarity with MCP methods and uncertainty frameworks. Experience with met mast and LiDAR data analysis, campaign design, and validation. Excellent understanding of turbine technologies, wake effects, and performance analytics. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings for non‑technical stakeholders. Experience producing bankable reports for lenders, investors, or due diligence processes. Experience with offshore wind–specific modelling (incl. complex wake environments, floating LiDAR). Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, R, or similar data analytics languages for workflow automation. Experience with operational performance analysis and SCADA‑based energy assessments. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
