Job Description

Start here. Grow here.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Wind Energy Yield Analyst to lead energy assessment activities across our onshore and/or offshore wind portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering bank-grade energy yield estimates, driving methodological improvement, and providing strategic technical input throughout the project lifecycle—from early-stage prospecting through financial close and operational optimisation.

The role involves acting as a subject-matter expert, collaborating closely with development, engineering, commercial, and finance teams to ensure robust and defensible yield assumptions that will underpin our investment and development decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Energy Yield & Resource Assessment

  • Lead the development of long-term energy yield assessments (P50/P90/P99) for onshore and offshore wind projects.
  • Perform wind resource modelling using industry-standard software, such as WAsP, WindFarmer, OpenWind, and WindPRO.
  • Oversee met mast, LiDAR, SoDAR, and SCADA data analysis, ensuring rigorous quality control and uncertainty quantification.
  • Conduct terrain, atmospheric, wake, and turbine performance assessments to refine energy yield calculations.

Data Management & Analysis

  • Manage large datasets from measurement campaigns and operational assets.
  • Implement best-practice statistical analysis, MCP techniques, uncertainty analysis, and climate adjustment methodologies.
  • Support the design and optimisation of measurement campaigns.

Project Development Support

  • Provide technical input into site selection, turbine micro-siting, layout optimisation, and design constraints.
  • Produce high-quality reporting for due diligence, investment committees, lenders, and external partners.
  • Evaluate turbine technologies, power curves, and OEM data to ensure accurate modelling assumptions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
