Principal / Senior Full Stack Engineer
Outside IR35 | £500-600/day | Hybrid London (2 days)
I'm working with a global consultancy to help build a small, elite engineering team for an AI-first product being developed within the insurance sector.
The team is building an AI-native underwriting platform from the ground up and they're looking for experienced engineers who thrive in ambiguity, love shipping production software and are already embracing AI-assisted development as part of their day-to-day workflow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll remain highly hands-on, helping shape engineering direction while building scalable production systems alongside a team of senior engineers.
This is very much a builder's role.

- React
- System Design
- Distributed Systems
- Production APIs
- Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Observability
- Security

You'll suit this if you're the type of engineer who enjoys improving engineering standards, building internal tooling, increasing developer productivity, and helping scale products rather than spending your week in architecture meetings.
