Senior GPU Compiler Engineer – LLVM / Graphics Compiler / GPU Architecture

We are currently partnering with a leading semiconductor company developing next-generation GPU IP for mobile, AI, automotive, IoT, and high-performance computing platforms. As part of their growing graphics engineering team, they are looking to hire a Senior & Staff level GPU Compiler Engineers to develop advanced compiler technologies that maximise GPU performance, power efficiency, and programmability across future graphics architectures.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with GPU architects, hardware designers, and graphics driver teams to shape the software stack behind cutting-edge GPU technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop GPU compiler architecture and software components
  • Implement and optimise compiler pipelines, code generation, linking, and optimisation passes
  • Develop advanced compiler transformations to improve GPU performance, power efficiency, and code quality
  • Collaborate closely with GPU architecture, hardware, and driver engineering teams to support new hardware capabilities and graphics APIs
  • Analyse compiler behaviour and debug code generation issues across complex GPU workloads
  • Optimise compiler performance for graphics, compute, and AI applications
  • Influence future GPU architectures by providing compiler and software insights
  • Work across multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver production-quality compiler technologies

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong commercial experience developing compilers or compiler toolchains
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills
  • Knowledge of GPU architectures and graphics pipelines
  • Experience with SIMD architectures or vector processing
  • Familiarity with graphics and compute APIs including Vulkan, OpenGL, Direct3D, or OpenCL
