Senior GPU Driver & Systems Software Engineer – GPU Drivers / Vulkan / OpenGL / OpenCL / Kernel Development

We are currently partnered with an innovative semiconductor company developing next-generation GPU IP for mobile, AI, automotive, consumer electronics, and high-performance computing platforms. As part of a growing GPU software team, they are looking to hire Senior & Staff GPU Driver & Systems Software Engineers to develop and optimise low-level GPU software, graphics drivers, firmware, and system software that maximises the performance of cutting-edge GPU architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise GPU drivers, kernel-mode software, and firmware for next-generation graphics and compute platforms
  • Design and implement features across graphics and compute APIs including Vulkan, OpenGL ES, OpenCL, and DirectX
  • Analyse and optimise GPU performance, memory management, scheduling, synchronisation, and execution efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with GPU Architecture, Microarchitecture, Compiler, and Modelling teams to influence future GPU designs

Key Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience developing GPU drivers, graphics systems, or low-level systems software
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills
  • Strong understanding of GPU architecture, graphics pipelines, memory hierarchies, scheduling, synchronisation, and performance optimisation
  • GPU firmware development
  • GPU performance profiling and optimisation
  • Compiler or runtime development for GPUs or AI accelerators
